Yummy...life is a box of melamine laced chocolates!!

Here comes more melamine, now in the guise of chocolate. Fortunately, valentine's day is far away. But halloween is not! If you have a sweet tooth, please give your kidneys a thought.

Melamine, melamine everywhere...say bye bye to your kidney...

Thanks to China, pets all over the world got to eat Melamine. Now it is the time for human population. Expect these chinese babies to show up in orphanages soon, so have their kidneys checked if you are adopting from the Communist nation of China. You can be sure that the Chinese will unload these "damaged" human beings to other countries. Ofcourse you cannot have these tests done in China, so consult local doctors for precautions during the flight as it can be quite stressful on the damaged kidneys.

Apparently melamine mimics proteins in tests, so they add it to bypass FDA and other similar organizations. When it comes to food, the contamination dangers are very high. The more backward the country, the higher the probability of contamination. So beware of "high quality organic foods" from these countries.

Republicans get their freak ON....

Terry Schiavo was the "feel good" story for Republican strategists in the 2004 election(Feel mad enough to vote Republican, that is). There was nothing close to that in this election. Now the VP pick is turning out to be a show in herself and compensating well for the absence of a Terry Schiavo kind of idealogical issue. At some point, I am sure that Mrs. Palin will figure this out. No wonder Mr. McCain avoids eye contact with her.

Down's Syndrome is a matter of personal choice. Once you are pushing the 40s, the probabilities just start working against the mom. Kudos to Mrs. Palin for sticking to her choice.

Teenage pregnancy, like sexual preference, is a "bury head in sand, feel good" approach for Republicans. The motto seems to be "I hate it as long as it is not in my family". If it is in the family, then it becomes "I hate the idea, not the people". Just a way of not confronting the reality. Like the Dove Ad states, the girl child has a lot of pressure to grow up earlier in the commercial world, similar to the girl in poverty stricken countries. Nothing is being done about self esteem issues for teenage girls.

Added later: By keeping family out of the discussions, the issues that RNC wanted discussed never got discussed. Plus the economy crashed at a really bad time. Palin did have some good views about kids with disabilities, but those views will have to wait.
